Once Upon a Time… Create My Story Was Born

Once Upon a Time… Create My Story Was Born

Once upon a time, not so long ago, a woman named Catherine dreamed of a world where every child could see themselves as the hero of their own adventure.

For years, she travelled through the kingdoms of technology, recruitment, and innovation. She led teams across continents, explored how people learn, and discovered something powerful: children thrive when stories speak to them, about them, for them.
(You can explore more about our vision for playful learning on our page: Our Philosophy of Learning Through Stories

But something was missing.
She wanted to bring learning back to joy, imagination, curiosity, the magic that makes children’s eyes sparkle.

One evening, while telling bedtime stories to her daughters, Catherine had an idea that felt like a shooting star.
(Bedtime storytelling is widely recognised for its impact on children’s development.  See this research from child development or reading benefits – e.g. American Academy of Pediatrics or Reading Rockets])

What if stories could include the child’s name… their friends… their world… their dreams?

And just like that, a new magical realm opened.

The Birth of a New Storytelling World

This idea became the seed of her first personalised storytelling brand. Over the years, it grew across countries, languages, and thousands of children whose imaginations were lit up by the simple joy of hearing:

This story is about you.
A moment that never fails to make children’s eyes light up: the magic of seeing themselves at the heart of the adventure.

That simple idea is exactly what inspired our personalised storybooks, where every child becomes the hero of their own story.

But stories evolve, and so do worlds.

And now, a new chapter begins.

Create My Story is the next magical universe Catherine dreamed into existence, a place where storytelling, creativity, and playful learning meet.
It is built on one belief:

Children learn best when they feel seen, valued, and part of the adventure.

This belief is also supported by modern learning research on engagement and emotional connection in childhood learning [Harvard Center on the Developing Child – learning & emotions]

A Magical New Generation of Storybooks

💛 Why Personalised Stories Matter

Children connect more deeply when they recognise themselves in a story — their name, their family, their traits.
It boosts:

motivation to read

confidence

emotional development

imagination

attention and memory

But above all, it makes reading feel magical.

And that magic stays with them as they grow.
